Forkboy2 U.S. Ortho Photo Grand Canyon

This is just a small screenshot impression of Forkboy2 ortho photo Grand Canyon HD. There’s of course much more to see, and a lot to download and a lot of time needed to convert the JPG files into DDS files.

Long story short; it was worth the time and waiting as you can see for yourself. Just to give you the right feeling; these screenshots are a combination of the packages Arizona and Arizona – Grand Canyon HD as well as the belonging overlay files.

According to Forkboy2 “This project provides high quality orthophoto scenery for X-Plane that can be easily shared among the community. For now, I’m working on the United States; however, if you know of a good WMS or Tile server containing public domain imagery from other countries, post a comment and I will take a look. Each orthophoto package will cover a large region that may include multiple states, or a portion of a large state.”

JustSim EBBR Impression

While busy writing for you a comprehensive review of the JustSim EBBR Brussels International Airport, I found it a good idea to make some exclusive screenshots. These screenshots should give you a good impression of how the airport looks like and how it works with World Traffic 3 or JARDesign X-Life.

Not that I know every corner at the airport by heart, the maintenance and cargo area I do. But for the rest of the airport I must say .. I’m impressed. It’s full with animated ground objects, building are modeled with great details, and so on. The frame rates are acceptable although it must be said that it depends on your rendering settings, as usual.

For now, enjoy the look and feel of JustSim EBBR!

Globall Art Montreal International Airport Impressions

It was time to check out quickly Globall Art recent released Montreal International Airport CYUL. and was it good, was it smashing, was it gorgeous … or was it?

First of all, check our our exclusive screenshots and judge yourself. We did look into it and can’t say anything else that it’s look gorgeous and frame rates are pretty good. The airport comes standard with a lot of features including support for World Traffic 3, but not standard with X-Life support from JARDesign.

Exclusive Magic_Carpet LFDL/LFCA Impressions

Attention … attention … exclusive LFCA and LFDL screenshots!

Recently we’ve announced the following; X-Plained.Com is pleased to inform you, with the approval of X-Plane.Org user Magic_Carpet (Thibaut Roy), that we will host and promote his exclusive and high quality French airports. Let me highlight these airports. First, the airport Chatellerault airfield (LFCA) and his second promoted airport is Loudun airfield (LFDL).

According to Magic_Carpet “The Chatellerault airfield is a small GA platform located in the west of France at roughly 17NM north of Poitier. On this airfield you can find Les ailes châtellerauldaises (http://www.aileschat.org), Chât’Ailes ULM and Silvair (www.silvair.fr) and some more. If you are in the region, feel free to come by the airfield and have a chat. Everybody is super(mostly) friendly!

Next airport LFDL; According to Magic_Carpet “Loudun airfield is a small GA platform located in the west of France at roughly 28NM north of Poitier. With one 790 x 60 meter runway aligned 26-08 it is a beautiful stop if you want to explore the French backcountry. On this airfield you can find l’Aéroclub Loudunais (very nice people)”.

Globall Art “CYYZ Toronto Pearson” Impressions

On behalf of Globall Art, we’re pleased to offer you some exclusive screenshots of their upcoming CYYZ airport for X-Plane 10/11.

According to Richard “Globall Art Toronto Pearson International Airport, or Lester B. Pearson International Airport) is the main airport in the Toronto metropolitan area, Canada. It is located approximately 20 miles from downtown Toronto, in the nearby city of Mississauga. It is the busiest airport in Canada and the 29th busiest in the world, as the number of passengers moved annually. Expected release date 11/24/207 Black Friday”

The exclusive screenshots are made on an iMac with macOS Sierra 10.12.6, X-Plane 11.05 with no further enhancement plugins installed, so what you see is what you get! Remember, the airport is still WIP (Work In Progress).

Exclusive Lugano Airport Impression

Lugano Airport, an impressive creation developed by FlyLogic, upgraded for X-Plane 11 by Omar Masroor and published by Aerosoft.

Curious how the updated X-Plane LSZA looks like and feels?
Then you must check out the following exclusive screenshots we’ve made for you. The Windows 10 screenshots are taken with the latest X-Plane 11 version (11.05) and use, besides a Carenado aircraft and the airport itself, xEnviro 1.07.

For those who aren’t familiar with LSZA, let’s have a closer look …. Lugano Airport (IATA: LUG, ICAO: LSZA) is a regional airport located 4 km (2.5 mi) west of the Swiss city of Lugano, approximately 80 km north of Milan, in the municipalities of Agno, Bioggio and Muzzano.

It lies closer to the village of Agno than to Lugano itself, and is sometimes known as Lugano-Agno. Around 200,000 passengers use the airport each year, using some 2,400 flights. There are also limited freight operations, a flying club and flight school. The headquarters of Darwin Airline are located at the airport. The airport is situated on land owned by the city of Lugano, whilst management is the responsibility of Lugano Airport SA, whose shares are owned by the canton of Ticino (12.5 percent) and the city (87.5 percent). The company has 73 employees, and an annual turnover of 10 million Swiss francs.

But what does it bring ….. ?
The updated airport for X-Plane 11 comes with a lot of bug fixes and a lot of improvements. For those who love to fly in the Swiss region, this is absolutely a worthy airport.
