Liege Airport Version 1.0

Why another EBLG? Previous versions were off compared to sat imagery, so therefore, a new one. This is a replica of the real airport made for XP11 only! It comes with customized buildings and libraries for small objects.

There airport is provided to you by NAPS (North Atlantic & Pacific Sceneries) with leading person Freddy De Pues.

Liège Airport (IATA: LGG, ICAO: EBLG), previously called Liege-Bierset, an international airport located 5 nautical miles (9.3 km; 5.8 mi) west of Liège in Belgium, mainly focusing on air freight. At the end of 2015, it was the 8th biggest cargo airport in Europe and the 22nd biggest in the world.

The airport is located in Grâce-Hollogne, Liège Province, north-west of the city of Liège, in the east of Belgium. The first terminal on the site opened in 1930.[3]

It is mainly used for freight/cargo operations, but also serves more than 23 destinations for passengers (mainly charters). Liège is located in the centre of the golden triangle Paris – Amsterdam – Frankfurt that handles 66% of European freight, and 75% when taken together with London.

In 2014 it was the eighth-biggest cargo airport in Europe. Liège Airport is the biggest cargo airport in Belgium, and the third-biggest for passengers after Brussels Airport and Brussels South Charleroi Airport. It is the global hub of ASL Airlines Belgium (the former TNT Airways), the European hub of Allied Air, Astral Aviation, CAL Cargo Air Lines, El Al Cargo, Ethiopian Cargo, and Icelandair Cargo, and a key European cargo hub for ABX Air, AirBridge Cargo, Bluebird Cargo, Emirates, i-Fly and Ukraine International Airlines. Frequent visitors for charter operations are Antonov Airlines, Atlas Air, Cargolux, FedEx, Gestair Cargo, Kalitta Air, National, Lufthansa Cargo and Saudia Cargo.

Liege, a city in the French-speaking part of Belgium, is in the heart of Europe and has a cargo as well as a low cost airlines airport.

The airport comes with features like; All the buildings are customized with photos taken on site and satellite imagery generated textures. The ground is also a perfect replica of what you see from a satellite view. All objects, lines and polygons were arranged based upon ZonePhotos imagery, they are a perfect match for zPhotoXP_+50+005_16_Liege_XP10_2012-10.

And finally, the airport has precision ATC traffic and two flows based upon wind direction.

Thank you to my partners Marc Leydecker and Cami De Bellis for their © contributions.
