x-plane-11-facebook-logoLaminar Research is pleased to announce the release of the first public beta of X-Plane 11.

Over the years it has always been the policy of Laminar Research to continually improve X-Plane, providing the most realistic flight simulation available, with flight modeling so accurate that has been adopted by numerous commercial aviation organizations. And therefore …. X-Plane 11 raises the X-Plane platform to a new level of realism.

New X-Plane 11 features include:
A completely redesigned, intuitive user interface that makes setting up and editing your flight a breeze.

Consistently usable 3-D cockpits and stunningly high-resolution exterior models for all included aircraft.

A new effects engine for lighting, sounds, and explosions.

Realistic avionics: Now support for digital terminal procedures

Busy, “living” airports with pushback tugs and roaming fuel trucks, able to service both your aircraft and the simulator’s AI planes.

New buildings & roads to better simulate European cities and much more!

The public beta is being released now so customers who have purchased the combo X-plane 10 / X-plane 11 download may try out the beta in advance of the final release of X Plane 11, which is scheduled to be released by the end of the year. A download of the demo beta version of X-Plane 11 is also available for those who have not purchased X-Plane 11 but want to try out the new features of the product.

As a reminder this is a beta version of X-Plane 11. That means this version of X-Plane 11 will be buggy! It will have problems and some favorite aircraft or scenery may not work. Some features are not complete and may result in poor frame rates. To beta test X-Plane 11, download the installer. X-Plane 11 can be tried as a demo, or customers may use their X-Plane 10+11 product key to install the full version. An X-Plane 11 manual is available online.
