RE_Library Version 1.8
In version 1.8 I have added yet more control towers based on UK prototypes (Bristol, Cambridge, Manchester (old), Newcastle and Southend), 3 new types of hangar and my new “all-glass” terminal building based on EICK. There are 39 new objects in total.
Please note the following:
The zip file is now named with the version number, i.e. RE_Library V 1.8, but when unzipped gives a folder called simply RE_Library. To install, place the RE_Library folder in your custom scenery folder.
This began as a compilation of several of my previous downloads into a library of airport buildings and related objects, which makes it much easier for designers to find the objects they want, though I am now also adding objects that are not available as separate downloads. It works in exactly the same way as all the standard scenery libraries. For a full list of which collections are included please see the “doc” file.
It also includes a range of navaid equipment cabins, additional objects for constructing airbridges and gates, some of the more modern control towers from my “RAF Towers” collection (which may be of use in civil airport sceneries), the unnamed versions of my EGCN and EGGP terminals and a selection of hangars based on my “EGGP Hangars” upload.
The index cross-references some of the objects to make them easier to find. For example there are office type buildings in both the control tower and cargo terminal collections. These will also now show up under the heading “Admin” in the library regardless of which folder they are actually in.
Version 1.8 is completely backward-compatible with sceneries which used earlier versions.
