Attention … attention … on special request, Jude’s Manchester airport review, developed by the Icarus Development Team. Staff reviewer and reviews editor Jude Bradley flies from his home town to Manchester Airport and it seems he’s quite happy with the end result. According to Jude “Overall, I found this a very interesting and compact airport, with so much to see and so many features included.”
And “Although not a large airport by international standards, it’s still a great addition to the X-Plane family and well worth the purchase.” You can read all about Jude’s review. Want to see more screenshots? Check out this I Love MCR.
Ah, I didn’t catch that, thanks for clearing it up for me 🙂
It still looks fantastic two years later, I think Manchester will be the next one to land on my wish list.
I’m sorry but something eludes me. Is this review (Jude’s) recent or very old? I see “published: August 28th 2014” and since I saw no other date for the article I assume it’s the article’s publication date, and not the scenery’s. This seems to be consistent with the old version of X-Plane which is also old, though I don’t have the X-Plane version timing to be sure.
Yet this page here is quite recent and seems to indicate the review is recent too.
So I’m confused, how can one find the date an article was written, if that’s not the “published” field? I think it’s quite important to know that piece of information, to have some perspective on how such or such add-on may have evolved since then 🙂
Quick comment on the scenery itself, always loved Manchester, and it’s always been one of my favourites. For now it’s a free scenery in my installation but Aerosoft’s is very tempting. And it’s available on their site, which is nice (yes, I do have some gripes with X-plane.org issues and especially some member of their staff, unfortunately).
Red,
This review was written a while ago, therefore the date you mention was the original date Jude wrote it. On request of the developer, I re-published Jude’s review, but left the date as it was.
