“The ULTIMATE” MOD Version 2.2

Updated version as per November 2018 Ultimate Mod 2.2

We’re pleased to inform you that X-Plained.Com is now supporting and promotion Silentdark666 his FlyWithLua plugin, cloud textures and much more …. “TheULTIMATE” MOD version 2.2 for X-Plane 11.

This updated version over our previous 2.0 comes with a lot of features, but one thing you should do before if you have still use/installed version 2.0. Please delete the old cloud pack from previous version of our mod (2.0) and go back to default clouds.

You need to run X-Plane 11 Installer/Updater to do so and overwrite old cloud pack to default 11.10 Clouds.

After that, you can continue with this 2.2 update, but before, these are all the new features:

  • NEW FSEnhancer Version of theUltimateMod now available
  • Adjusted Horizon and Cloud Colors
  • Fixed Cockpit shadow bug
  • Fixed Blue Hue on Horizon
  • Improved Look of Sunset and Dawn
  • Optimized and improved water
  • Improved Cloud Formations

The Standalone Installation Version (Recommended):
Step 1:
Download Flywithlua and install it here: C:\X-Plane 11\Resources\plugins

Step 2:
Download SkyColors for XP11 and install them here: C:\X-Plane 11\Resources\bitmaps\skycolors *BACKUP Original Folder before overwriting with New Textures!

Step 3:
Choose the version you want to use! xEnviro Compatible version -OR- Ultimate Stock X-Plane 11 version and install the Lua Script into :\X-Plane 11\Resources\plugins\FlyWithLua\Scripts

Popular Questions about this MOD:
I have a “Flywithlua has stopped” error in XP? – Go to the plugins/Flywithlua menu in the sim and click “Re-load all lua scripts”! NOTE: TheULTIMATE Mod V2.0 Fixed this problem and loads into flywithlua 2.6+ and X-plane 11 seamlessly! If you are still experiencing this issue check your x-plane 11 log.txt file and see what other script you are running could be causing this.

Is this MOD compatible with other lua scripts? – The answer is yes and no. IT IS NOT compatible with lua scripts that claim to effect water, clouds, shadows, as this mod does all that anyway and those lua scripts could cancel out scripts within this mod and possibly cause fps issues in some cases. I recommend removing all “visual lua scripts” if you plan to use this mod.

When Using the “Standalone Version” when I turn off FLywithLua I dont see a difference? That’s because when Installed the MOD is always on and is loaded into XP at startup for easy plug and play use unless disabled or uninstalled!

Does this MOD effect or take over my rendering settings inside XP? – NOPE! One of the BEST things about this MOD is the USER still retains the ability to change their own rendering settings in XP!

This MOD started out as a Preset for the Rendering Options Plugin and then became a standalone version influenced by my custom preset for that mod! The standalone version was made for easy plug and play use with Flywithlua! Special Thanks to Flywithlua and The Rendering Options Plugin.

This mod is a growing/organic work of art and as laminar improve X-Plane this mod will improve as well and adopt those changes.
