UPDATE: X-Plained.Com is from today a SSL secured website!
Although it’s just a “s” that’s added, X-Plained.com will be from today a “https” website.
That said, from today and on, we’ll have a secured site. A secured site or SSL (Secure Sockets Layer) is the standard security technology for establishing an encrypted link between a web server and a browser. This link ensures that all data passed between the web server and browsers remain private and integral.
Will this have any influence for you when you’re surfing to https://www.x-plained.com? After I’ve installed the SSL certificate, I need to make a couple of script changes, but the site will always – if I do my work right – be available. I’ll keep you informed about the process and let you know when we’re done. Just in case …. when you do have problems reaching X-Plained, you know why this could be.
