On this first American Orbx IFR flight we depart from Venice Municipal Airport in Florida. The weather conditions are OK, our intended flight cruising level will be around 4500 feet and some clouds are visible as well as cirrus in the high altitudes. This flight should give you and myself a great impression of the ground textures provided by the Orbx Florida team, led by Tony Wroblewski.

Taking off from runway 23 (or was it 24?) we fly via the waypoints along Sarasota, Tampa Bay, to Disney World. The intention is to land at Kissimmee Gateway Airport (KISM). Although Florida is flat, no hills, no mountains, it’s beautiful to see how the Floridian landscape looks like after Orbx TrueEarth US Florida HD is installed. Yes, the screenshots and footage material is all based on the HD texture quality. And let’s not forget the beautiful modelled 3D objects!

P.s ; this video shows you how default road textures look like in the Orbx scenery when enabled.
